Week 2

Well last week was a wild one. DS crushed BP in a very close match, PFN handled their long rival SP, 8BC lost to BNR, and FR pulled out a game 7 win vs SPS. Look to see this week go similar to last with close matches and intense action. One thing I would like to point out, we lost EC in the starting week which is very tragic. I talked with James the HA of WSOP and he said he is trying to work on getting a replacement. Until a replacement is named matches against EC will be considered a 6-0 win. On to the predicting, I am only posting the first 2 matches this week so please check back for the rest.

EASTERN MATCHES
-----
DS vs FR, Monday @6pm, Room:A Face in the Crowd

Chuck and company got a hard fought win last week vs BP. Corey pulled out a clutch game 7 run that made a clear statement, DS will not be pushed around this season. DS might not have a team that will blow you away but with a bunch of reliable characters they can catch a few breaks here and there to pull wins out like week 1. Chuck needs to be careful here though FR have a dangerous lineup that could prove too challenging this week.

Petey carried FR to victory this week with 2 wins. He showed that he isn't just a fly on the wall. Look to see FR come out strong early without home field advantage. They have Ben, Travis, Mikey, and the "closer" Petey. These guys can pull out wins but this match will surely come down to another game 7.
Outcome: 4-3 FR

BP vs 8BC, Tuesday @7pm, Room: All Right Now

DJ did a pretty good job coaching last week but he just couldn't pick up the W. Corey ran James off his break and sealed the victory for DS. I wouldn't be surprised if this match went down to game 7 as well. The great thing about WSOP is that ties are not allowed so the key players are important. Hopefully James can shake last weeks loss and step up to the plate this week. Drew, DJ, and the rest need to stay on form as well if they plan on evening out their record.

8BC played very well last week. I think their week one match could have gone either way. Tough breaks cost them big though and they are sitting in the same spot BP is. In a weak division like the East Sean can steal a playoff spot, I am excited to see if BNR was a fluke or if they really have the desire to be a great inter league team. This match will go fairly fast I think, both teams have runners. Look to see Sean and DJ start out strong.
Outcome: 4-3 BP

CROSS-DIVISIONAL MATCH
-----
BNR vs LPL, Monday @7pm, Room: Welcome to the Jungle

BNR is ran by a new general and his name is Chip. He did well last week beating a surprisingly strong 8BC team. Can he do it again this week without an all-star in his lineup? He is playing one of the favorites this season in LPL. I just don't think BNR can hold up against Ant, Daru, Cam, and company.

Tino you have a strong supporting cast brother. I am surprised after word got out Ant was going to leave I really thought LPL would crumble. It turns out Ant came back and you guys are flourishing now. Keep up the good work, last week you saw a freebie win but don't expect it to happen this week. BNR might not have a strong lineup but they will play very carefully and hopefully make this match closer than I am predicting.
Outcome: 5-1 LPL

WESTERN DIVISION MATCHES
-----
SPS vs PFN, Wednesday @7pm, Room: Sweet Jane

Jason is coming off a crushing defeat at the hands of FR. He played well in that match and decided to call DJ for the game 7 when he should have put his faith in himself. There will always be IF, AND'S, or BUT's-a loss is a loss. Jason has a tough road ahead of him if he plans on beating PFN this week. Now, in his WPC posts he claims SPS is just as good if not better than PFN I hope he can backup his talk tomorrow. In Jason's credit he really cares about this game and hopefully his heart and determination can get SPS their first win of the season.

PFN started off their season with a BANG beating a SP team that wasn't ready for Andy's squad. Will it happen again this week? I am certain this match will end in the same result as last week for PFN. SPS is strong and there is a lot of bitterness between the leagues so this should be a pretty heated match. Look to see Andy go crazy, throwing off his admin gloves and getting ready to rumble! Home field isn't a factor this week ladies and gentlemen.
Outcome: 4-2 PFN

SP vs SS, Wednesday @7pm, Room: Advanced Lounge 3

The battle of the 2 belated joiners. Pete was a late sign up and I was amazed he fielded a team last week on short notice. This week should have a better outcome for him with more time to prepare and get players eligible. SP is an enigma they do really well in some inter leagues and their bottom drops out in others. I really like Pete and I think he can field a team that will compete with the best the only trouble is the West is stacked this season. Every team in the West has the potential to make the playoffs but the problem is there are only 3 spots for 5 teams.

Pita is taking control of SS in WSOP. That right there should turn some heads. He has done well enough in WPC as a captain and should continue here in WSOP. With the tiebreak being a huge factor I see them squeaking out more wins than they have in WPC. Pita and company will push this match to the edge, this really is a tossup. I'm going with home field to pull out a game 7 clincher.
Outcome: 4-3 SP
